Over View
“School with a Smile” is our flagship project which has so far helped over 60,000 students with a complete pack of school supplies including shoes, school bag, exercise books & stationary being distributed via temples, mosques, churches and other community centres. Beneficiary students are selected through school principals and education authorities with the objective of helping the needy students in order to minimize school drop-outs and to ensure the financial burden of the parents is reduced so the savings can be used for betterment of their quality of life.
Regional Partnership Model
- We have introduced a new model of partnership, by offering matching contributions to regional organizations wanting to make a difference by supporting the children in their local community through our “School with a Smile” initiative.
- We match the funds they raise in their locality on a 1:1 basis and support them to reach more needy students in their locality.
- This model also motivates the local partners and helps sustain the initiative across the country in the long term, by letting local / regional organizations to slowly but steadily, take responsibilities towards social needs in their own localities.
- Many partners came on board with us in 2018 on this regional partnership model and we have seen a significant increase in local beneficiery numbers, due to this partnership.
